This book has three main foci: the purpose of learning; the theory of learning; and the practice of teaching. The first two chapters explore why learning is important, and what it actually looks like.The second section concentrates on the theory of learning, identifying a few of the more easily recognized and practiced theories used in classroom teaching, as well as the author’s own learning theory, Cognitive Free Will Learning Theory, which describes how students will only learn if they choose to.
