When private eye Eddie Lombardi's friend Watusi is gunned down and seriously wounded in a trash-filled alley on Manhattan's West Side, Eddie vows revenge against the shooter. His efforts are hampered, however, when the local police precinct seems to have no interest in finding the man. As if that's not enough trouble, a sinister figure from Eddie's past has begun stalking him. Captain DeMassio of the NYPD isn't taking that case seriously, either. Somehow, with or without help from the law, Eddie must solve two cases, either of which could make his wife Laura a widow.
