Harry Stromberg (Nig Rosen) was the lynchpin of a $20 million narcotics ring that was broken up in September 1957. Rosen came to the United States as youth from Russia. He entered the Philadelphia mob racket during the Prohibition era. He took charge of bootlegging activities there. Until 1937 Rosen's only brush with the law was a six-month stint he served at Elmira Reformatory. Rosen was in charge of the big international drug ring for twenty-five years. My e-book looks at major narcotics syndicates that were dissolved in 1957 and 1962.
