From the moment Gabriel walks into her desert diner, Gillian's ordinary life is forever changed. It is the beginning of a series of events that would thrust her into a race for her life.
A second starship, the Menocai, must retrieve the valuable and alien technology before earth's military finds it. But its commander has a darker purpose—he wants Gillian, as well. And he sends his brother, disguised as Gabriel, to capture her.
Gillian discovers she needs to ward off not only alien invaders but a military investigation, and navigate the complicated feelings she has towards Gabriel, who may not be who he claims to be.
