Today, Monday, April14, 2003, is the day in which Ipreferred to start writing and recording certain painful memoriesabout the days of the American aggression and its destructivewar against my country, Iraq. The Americans came under anillegal, unethical and uncultural pretext: freedom anddemocracy; and disarming the Iraqi regime of the massdestructive weapons. That autocratic regime led by Saddam andhis party for more than 30 years has led the country to itspresent condition. It had no pluralism, no institutions and noconstitution. However, such a condition does not give a reasonor a legitimate cover for the invasion and destruction which wewitnessed during the past three weeks.
