The ultimate objective of this book was to identify and offer a new methodological approach aimed at masonry reinforcement interventions. The innovative feature, in fact, resides in taking into account a wider range of information and considerations congruously with the new technical regulations, while at the same time, not dismissing techniques and operational knowledge that might be considered "obsolete", but still fundamental to our "present".
The methodological criteria offered can be a valuable aid to every experienced surveyor who is unexpectedly called to express an opinion of major responsibility and/or formulate an intervention plan for the reinforcement of masonry buildings.
