The story takes place in the Qing dynasty. Yu Jian-ping, the retired head of the Anping Agency—an establishment that provides armed escort services in Suzhou. Yu is known for his superb martial arts skills, and his most deadly weapon is the twelve deadly coin-shaped darts. Yu is highly revered among the martial arts community. Nonetheless, a mysterious villain robbed the agency, forcing Yu to reenter the secular world and track down the robber. The story circles around Yu's adventures of searching and reclaiming the coin darts.
