Mathematical economics is offered to both undergraduate and graduate students with the main objective of exposing them to quantitative analysis of economic problems. Since some economic problems can be easily explained mathematically it will help students with the quantitative skill to understand the subject more objectively and precisely. Therefore, mathematical economics is not a branch of economic major per se but it is an analytical technique that can be used to explain economic phenomena in a quantitative perspective. Thus, mathematical economics is used in microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, development economics, natural resource and the environmental economics and so forth.
