吉尔和尤斯塔斯为了躲避坏学生的恶作剧，逃入一扇通往荒野的小门，却到了另外一个世界的悬崖边。原来是阿斯兰召唤他们来接受一个任务：寻找老国王失踪已久的王子。随后吉尔和尤斯塔斯踏上秘密寻找王子的旅途，一路随行的还有个古怪的沼泽人。他们穿过巨人盘踞的荒原，绕过冰雪覆盖的奇怪壕沟，逃出可怖的哈方城堡，坠入黑暗的幽深王国，意外地发现被青绿色毒蛇囚禁在银椅上的男子，恰巧是他们苦苦寻找的王子，可是要怎么才能救出他呢......
