Being a writer is not just about the writing. If only! While the writing is important, there are all sorts of others things to contemplate, cogitate and consider. And, of course, as a writer, I've written about them as I've encountered them in my own writing life.

There's More To Writing Than Writing is a collection of some of these articles, which originally appeared in a variety of magazines, including Writing Magazine, Writers' Forum, Writers' Wheel, and The Writer (USA).

It's an eclectic mix (but then as writers we tend to have an eclectic mix of ideas!) and includes topics like making time to write, are we insured to write, giving our characters a telephone number, and experimenting with stream-of-consciousness writing. (I told you it was eclectic!)

So why not sit back, grab a tipple of your choice and have a read? After all, reading and research is just as much part of the writing life of the actual writing. Which I think proves my point ... that there's more to writing than writing.
