Casey Shepard had just returned to his hometown of Barton after a tour of duty in Afghanistan to take a job as investigator with the new sheriff of Stafford County. Before he can begin his new job, he is suddenly thrust into the middle of a high-profile murder investigation of a prominent businessman and his wife.

During the investigation a laundry list of possible suspects emerge that include members of a dangerous biker gang, a local outlaw bent on revenge, a demolition expert, and a professional hit man. The assorted list of unsavory characters, along with another murder committed in a faraway city with ties to the victims and the little town of Barton, complicates the investigation.

Inspired by true events, ONE WEEK UNTIL MIDNIGHT follows the story of a young detective who must work quickly to break through the tangled web of criminal activity that has infiltrated a small town to find answers and bring the killers to justice before time runs out.
