This is the story of a squirrel family that lives in a big tree trunk in the back yard of a wealthy family in a north suburb of Chicago.

Percy and his wife, Melva, had talked about leaving the big city and move to a quieter neighborhood. At last, the day came when they left the city of Chicago in search of a better life and also to prepare a more safe and comfortable home for the arrival of their first kitten.

They arrived in the suburbs several days after leaving the city with many stops along the way. Not knowing where they were going, they search and searched with great anticipation until they found just the right place.
