《盐大路》以四十年代川鄂湘古盐道上一个重要驿站梅子古镇为背景，讲述了小镇人们一边在盐大路上流血流汗，一边在小镇创业的艰辛历程。十六岁的"小混混"闷兜，被母亲杨青苹（咸菜店老板娘）赶上盐大路，历经了一路的美丑善恶，被湖南"宽货客"康怀远以死相救之后，终于参透了盐大路的世态人情，发奋图强，买下简家盐行，酿造了"十里香"，几年后捐出"怀远商行"，与福缘坛主礼生谭善果子一起剿灭了齐岳山上横行多年的土匪。"盐带捎"吕大树是盐大路上一条硬汉，他纵横盐大路二十多年，数次历险都化险为夷，却在家业兴旺时溘然离世；身世坎坷的美丽女子花喜鹊，受尽凌辱之后奋起抗争，做出惊天之举之后销声匿迹；莫老君和唐幺妹是一对活宝，又身怀绝技，将古镇搞得诡异神秘，但他们最终还是向往夫唱妇随的凡俗生活......|The ancient Salt Road winds its way through the lofty mountains of Sichuan, Hubei and Hunan like a blood vessel. Several paths converge into main roads, commonly known collectively as the "Salt Road". In the past, these ancient roads were extremely prosperous in the remote mountains.
