The burn-out syndrome is not a phenomenon caused solely by overwork, nor is it uncommon. It constitutes a state that develops progressively with high levels of stress. In this case, the person assumes too many obligations, losing the perspectives on his limitations and as more complications arise, he tries to be more productive, expecting the eventual recognition of the society.
While the best way to deal and overcome burn-out includes several attitudes (typical of the resilient ones), which forces to analyze the complex human nature and the causes of extreme exhaustion. In this regard, there is certain relationship between burn-out and resilience that helps to understand this phenomenon and find suitable solutions.
