My name is Leslie Anne Brennemann, and I was almost a millionaire. I discovered some old documents in the closet that were a gift to me, when I was a baby. My mother stashed them in there, and must have forgot about them way before she died, then I found them while cleaning it out. Like summoning a portal to hell, I triggered three separate government agencies and several assassins when I tried to cash them in, and I learned the hard way, never trust anything a drunk gives you.
They were a gift from my mother Dory, and she has no recollection of ever getting bearer bonds, but just like the movies, only calamity could come from cashing them in. I had no idea at the time, how high the stakes were, until my mother Dory saved me. It's a real stressful moment when you see your mother kill for the first time.
When I finally made it back home, everything was different. My actions forced the restaurant to close, I compromised the ranch, the house took the brunt of it, and I endangered everyone's lives. They all warned me it was a bad idea, but I really wanted to be a millionaire. I felt like running away. I just couldn't face them after what happened. So, when I disappeared, everyone assumed I ran away, but that is not what happened.
