Think of any organization to which you belong, there are manywhich you could tell such as the company which has hired youor some volunteer group or even anon-governmentalorganization. Many other organizations have a direct or indirecteffect on your functioning such as state government or ahospital. Even a bank has some influence on you. By definition,even your family and friends form an organization. Now, let'stalk about all those organizations with whom you wereassociated in the past but now have left because of an issue. Itcould be either due to your dissatisfaction or you weren'thappy there or maybe you want to contribute more and takemore participation but didn't have the opportunity to do so.You might have also left a company because you weren'tgetting recognized for your efforts or no one appreciated yourwork. Sometimes, even a change in the role of responsibilitiesmakes you leave a company. Some people disassociatethemselves from an organization when they do not feel acontrol on their work or couldn't figure an acceptable path foryour career development.Now, all these problems can be solved if an organization putsthe required amount of resources in OrganizationalDevelopment. Organizational development is actually aninter-disciplinary which involves business, industrial, psychologicalas well as sociology in it. Even communication, humanresources and management form a part of OrganizationalDevelopment. Organizational Development is basically an effortwhich is planned, systematic, organized and managed to helpimprove an organization its productivity and refine its efficiencythrough a number of processes.
