Growing up at Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Laurel’s life has been shaped by her love for this fragile ocean ecosystem. Returning home after her freshman year of college where she plans to minor in Environmental Studies with a major in Communication, Laurel begins the adventure of a lifetime. When she finds out that she can communicate with a female dolphin, she knows what she has to do. So the two become the new faces representing conservation movements worldwide. With the Florida coral reefs in danger, their first mission as emissaries has been decided.
Book 1 of a series, which will highlight Laurel and Delphinus’ efforts to protect and conserve fragile ecosystems, introduces this unique relationship between human and dolphin.
With the help of a marine biology student at Florida State University and the intervention of mythological forces, the two will be a part of prompting legislation which will protect the coral reefs of Florida and extend worldwide. Yet, with this victory comes the news of a massive oil spill off the coast of Louisiana and so the pair are summoned to the scene of an ecologically devastating accident.
