Subhomoe, a government employee, enjoys a comfortable urban life with his wife and his only son - Laltu. Government services present the dual benefit of job security with scope for illicit income from bribes to the opportunistic. Although regular salary in a Govt job is never sufficient to hoard affluence, additional under-the-table succors often prove enough to lift the lifestyle of the opportunist lot. Subhomoe is one such character who has benefited by boarding the gravy train.
