Saro Mogavero and Joseph Mogavero were brothers who had links to the old Genovese/Lucky Luciano narcotics ring. Operating out of Naples, Italy, the extensive drug syndicate had links in Montreal and New York City. In late 1961 and the spring of 1962 there were breaks in the ring led by Federal agents and local police. Both of the breakthroughs occurred in Westchester County, New York. Some of the perpetrators were apprehended on the New York freeway near Yonkers. My e-book looks at Saro's history from the time he was arrested for harboring two dockside thugs at his cottage in Oyster Bay, Long Island.
