Peter was one of Jesus' closest disciples. As one of the original apostles, he became a leader in the early church, eventually preaching in Rome where he was martyred. He wrote two general letters to first-century believers which have been embraced by Christians as part of the Bible. A Slow Walk with Peter: 275 Devotional Meditations is a collection of devotional meditations, slowly walking through both letters from Peter and Jude's letter a few verses at a time.
A distinctive feature of A Slow Walk with Peter: 275 Devotional Meditations is each meditation includes a personal illustration based on recollections of actual people and events by friends, family, or the author.
Peter wrote about a wide variety of topics including our hope in Christ, holy living, godly relationships, persecution, church leadership, false teachers, and Jesus' return. Jude, the brother of James and half-brother of Jesus, wrote a short letter to Christians warning them about ungodly people infiltrating local church congregations. The meditations include thoughts on issues in daily life at home, at school, and at the office.
Features of A Slow Walk with Peter: 275 Devotional Meditations include Scripture quotations from the Christian Standard Bible (CSB), personal stories as illustrations, a short prayer with each meditation, cross references in notes, and an index of Scripture references and meditation titles.
