Famous outlaws Bonnie and Clyde have been glamorized in movies and popular culture. Young readers will learn all about the criminal couple. They both came from very poor backgrounds and lived during the Great Depression, a time when many people were desperate. Bonnie and Clyde weren't glamorous, and they weren't even very successful criminals. They usually only stole a few dollars at each robbery. Bonnie probably never shot anyone, but Clyde killed many people. Bonnie and Clyde were among the first people made famous by the media.
