The New Testament does not say that only those who are especially wicked go to Hell.

James 1. 26 says your religion is useless if you don't bridle your tongue.  If your religion is useless then it won't deliver you to Heaven.  You must repent and stop using bad language if you are to escape perdition.

Acts 3:23 - And it shall come to pass, that every soul that does not listen to that Prophet (Jesus) will be destroyed.

2 Thess 1. 8 - Hellfire for those who do not know God and who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

To know God you have to know God is a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Revelation 20. 12-15 says you are tossed into a lake of fire if your name is not found written in the Book of Life.

Currently in the USA if a political candidate running for high office gives a strident religious speech against abortion, you know, if he says pro-choicers will burn in Hell because Jesus hates abortion, if he says prison sentences must be given to doctors and nurses who perform even 1st trimester abortions, well, that sort of talk is not how one gets elected to high political office in the USA. One might win quite a few counties in the Bible Belt speaking those opinions, but currently that is a losing strategy if you're running for high office in the USA.

Romans 14. 12 says everyone will eventually have to stand before the Creator of the Universe and give an account of himself / herself.

The Creator of the Universe might ask you: Did you ever lift a finger to help rescue the poor innocents from the knives of the abortionists?

You want to give an answer to God which will enable you to attain Heaven and escape Hell.

The abortion issue is complicated because when you say you are pro-life, well, this is not very clear.

For example, if you say that any doctor who performs a 3rd trimester abortion must be fined $3, then that's a pro-life law that you are pushing.  It's what's called a de jure pro-life law.  But it is also a de facto pro-choice law.

To articulate a coherent pro-life code, one that will allow you to attain Heaven and escape Hell, then you have to spell things out, be specific. You have to say something like, for example: any nurse who participates in a 1st trimester abortion must be punished by no less than 37 months in prison. Any hospital administrator who is complicit in a 3rd trimester abortion must be punished by no less than 44 years in prison etc., etc.

Exactly what abortion laws will enable one to escape Hell and attain Heaven?
