The future of the Spanish economy is only in the development of the only firm and authentic resource it has: the agriculture. But this development cannot be natural, because the current possibilities are little less than exhausted. It is necessary to introduce a new element, and this cannot be other than the systematic application of large-scale irrigation, through an exhaustive use of water resources. All this revolves around the possible execution of the project designed to take advantage of the waters of the atlantic rivers of the Iberian Peninsula for the irrigation of the southern plains.
