Jack Marsden is a volatile detective with no love for his ex-wife, but he sure as hell didn't kill her. At least he doesn't think so, after waking up in her house to find her dead in the bathtub. He has no idea who killed her or how he got there. The lab finds evidence against him, however, and the grand jury indicts him for her murder. He attempts to defend himself and becomes a pariah to everyone except his beautiful partner, Mikki Baker, who is known for her grit, hard work, and determination. The higher ups love her.
