This book is attempting to bring back, to those who are interested, some of the testimonies of the people detained/arrested in December, 1989, in Iași, Timișoara and Bucharest, by the members of the suppressive forces (the Security, the Militia, the Army), to reflect upon them and to determine the conceptual framework applicable to the repression actions undertaken by the members of the force institutions of the Romanian communist state during the Revolution in December, 1989.
The idea of this book originated in the need to rectify the position expressed by some researchers of the phenomenon concerning the Revolution in December, 1989, most of them, former Security members or individuals related to this institution, according to which the state's force structures (particularly those belonging to the Ministry of the Interior – with a focus on Security and pretermit of the Militia – without, however, omitting those of the Ministry of National Defense) had absolutely no involvement in the repression deeds, and if they had, it was merely based on the orders received, therefore portraying sufficient reasons to stage an exoneration from the murders committed.
