Jack Robertson, his family and friends leave Michigan and travel to Council Bluffs in the Iowa Territory where they spend the winter and join a Mormon wagon train going West in the Spring. Jack's adventures never stop as he battles wits with highwaymen, train robbers, Indians, buffalo hunters, con artist, and an enraged bull. Join Jack as he finds a nearly perfect home in the mountains of Wyoming. Jack's family homesteads the mountain valley, builds a trading post and makes peace with their Indian neighbors. Everything seems to be going just as Jack has planned until he must deal with the promises he has made to 5 young women, Little Deer, Su Ling, Sarah, Bridget, and Belle who all expect to be married to Jack for time and all eternity.
