This book is very much an introduction to the many gods of ancient Egypt and it forms the second book in a series relating to the ancient Egyptian religion. We cover the main gods of the divine company of gods of Heliopolis, all those found in The Book of the Dead an ancient Egyptian text of the underworld. We make mention of Horus, the son of Isis and of his father Osiris and the great triad of gods found at the temple of Karnak, Amun, Mut and Khonsu notwithstanding the principal gods of the other companies. Beautifully illustrated we give a brief account of each god and how each of them are referred and related to in the ancient Egyptian text the PYLONS OF OSIRIS. In many ways the Pylons of Osiris is a reference book for lovers in relationships this commentary brings to life the ancient text.
