DREAMS OF LIFE

CHAPTER 1

This story belongs to the time when education was not given so much importance. Kids were getting education in cities but it was considered an extra burden on finances in villages. No care was given to education. People in village had a thought that after education they have to do work in fields so why to waste time in education as they can do work in fields without education.

This family was also living among these people. There were total five people in that family, Mother, father, two sons and one daughter. Father was employee in a factory. Mother was illiterate. Father had completed his matriculation. Mother was keen to give higher education to her kids.

She said to her husband that she will not send her kids in the village school but he was not giving importance to her sayings. He said that kids of other people in village are also studying in that school but she was not happy with that.

She grew her kids in an efficient way. Her husband admitted to her request and managed to admit the kids in a big school outside the village. In this manner the wish of the mother was completed. She told her elder son to work hard in studies and her sons start to pay attention on studies.

When these kids are getting good education, then people in the village started to mock them that they will become officers, after completion of education. This increases the desire of education in those kids. Those kids try to work harder in studies and complete the dream of their mother.

Their mother played an important role in education of her kids. She was not educated but she had made timing for every task in routine. There was schedule for study and playing and sleeping. In this manner she was taking good care of her kids. Her sons were very happy.

Now time for education of the daughter came and her mother asked her husband to send her to school. At that time there was no school of girls in the village. She said that their daughter must also get education from school but her husband refused. He said that girls in village must learn to work in home.
