Follow how one family pulled together and not only survived, but thrived. They fell back to their ancestor's old ways:  gardening, canning, sewing, hunting, fishing, and protecting what was theirs.

When several family members were laid off and their money ran out, they converged on the family farm. In order to survive, they learned the old ways from the family elders.

Soon they were set upon by predators and looters. Much to their resistance, they were forced to protect their homestead from not only animals, but their neighbors.

Years later, the government reestablished itself and started anew. Will the family want to return to their previous lives or will they choose to live the simple life?
