From time to time it's good to stop and pause. These poems were written when I took time to pause and think about things that are less serious than life. It helps to relax and think about different things. I believe that the more variety we have in our thinking, the better we will be as a person.
I also like to wait and see if God has anything to show me when I take these special times to pause. Writing is not so much for the reader as it is for myself, as the writer and the joy that I receive from it.
End of the year, time to pause, reflect and think about the year that's gone.
Ask myself, have I given it my all? Pick up my fiddle and work on a new song?
Two thousand and twelve was not so bad, God was good and provided our needs.
The news reminded me of all that's sad, of those without God and their misdeeds.
A national debt we can never hope to repay. Control of our health care has become an issue.
An election that did not quite go my way. I don't know what this world is coming to!
Collect my poems and publish a book, end the year with a feeling of accomplishment.
Think about all the energy and time it took. Then figure out where all our money was spent!
Looking for a challenge to improve my mind. What can I do to help others improve?
Lead a church group in something refined or something else that God would approve.
A time to pause and collect my thoughts, tomorrow I will lay out plans for the New Year.
A time to pause and connect the dots, tomorrow I am sure, it will be crystal clear!
