This is not a cookbook like so many wonderful vegan and vegetarian cookbooks available. Instead, it a series of articles that cover topics like animal cruelty, slaughter house terrors, farm factory cruelty, and the dangers of eating farm factory meat and eggs, as well as major health concerns due to our American diet and how this can easily be shifted to start a diet that fights heart disease, cancer, diabetes, stroke, alzheimer's as well as a host of other benefits. I am a Diamond Expert Author on Ezine Articles with 51 published articles.
This book will discuss what farm factory animals are forced to eat and why they are pumped full of antibiotics and hormones which end up making it to our dinner table. When we see what their diet consists of it should give us great pause about ingesting anything from a farm factory. It might be more costly, but if you love meat, I suggest free range grass fed beef and free range chicken and eggs. I would also not disagree that there are health benefits to free range grass fed beef which is the diet they should be eating and can digest. It is admitted that vegans and vegetarians tend to need to supplement some B vitamins but grass fed beef is loaded with these essential vitamins. These topics are looked into in this book.
We look into the very real dangers of our major sugar obsession and the dangers of Aspartame.
We will discuss how we should strongly consider adding more raw foods to our diet and how tasty these foods can be when prepared correctly. As I have already stated, this is not a cookbook, but with so many wonderful vegan chefs and so many vegan and vegetarian cookbooks out there this should not be a problem. You would be surprised at the numerous variety of mouthwatering vegan and vegetarian recipes available.
I believe that if you have ever considered going vegan or vegetarian, you will find this book to be a thought provoking and compelling page turning read and may even be a bit shocked by the content. I know how ignorant I was about many of these issues and how after learning about these truths it was a major shock and one that made it easy to change my diet and my food sources.
