People work hard their entire life for their materialistic happiness and achieve physical pleasures. However, they do not experience mental peace. The quest for peace is a journey within, and the man who finds peace gets everything – harmony of life, calmness, simplicity, unity, tranquility, reconciliation and quietude.
It would be right if we say that if we get mental peace, then materialistic pleasures become trivial.
Throughout life, a person understands pleasures as peace and accepts the unreasonable mind quietly. He gathers distress, troubles, difficulties, etc. in the form of grief, while a false heart and imprudent mind convince him that pleasure is the only goal of life.
This continuous search for pleasure not only brings physical illness, but a lot of mental stress too.
What must we do then?
It is necessary that to attain peace in life, one needs to adapt his ethics and actions in such a way that he always has a pleasant feeling. This can be attained only by walking on shanti path. Many times, we get peace but for a few moments. Thus we need to strengthen ourselves from within and use discretion and courage to be peaceful and win in all situations.
