Let us consider as one of the adjuncts to spiritual growth the matter of the Spiritual Diary.
The Spiritual Diary is a record of your efforts and experiences on the Spiritual Path and helps you communicate with your Higher Self and, eventually, with the Master.
A problem we all come up with on the Path is attachment. Could you really, at a moment's notice, given the wherewithal, uproot yourself and go and undertake a task for the Master? Would you be able to withstand loneliness for five years? Would you be able to withstand the contempt and ridicule of the world for five years?
When people are attached, they tend not to be able to perform a task of importance given to them by the Master. An attachment is not easy to recognize.
