The story's scope widens as the winter storm that threatened Julie subsides. The next morning at breakfast, Michael Worthington, a high school senior, attempts to connect with his father, Robert, but is frustrated by his aggressive opposition. The son sees it as a relic of an older generation and welcomes his opened-minded mom's offer for a ride to school. Along the way, she approves of Danny's, his new girlfriend's, positive influence, but the conversation turns to the topic of consent, which he finds insinuating. An inadvertent snowball triggers within him a violent urge to take revenge, and he's disturbed that he targets an eight-year-old boy. At school, social media buzzes with the first report of Julie's story. To Michael, the clues connecting his father to assault are clear. Will he admit to or deny his father's guilt?
