In this story, the main character (who is known as the Bumbler) gets left behind. He is noticeably very alone and very scared. But he expands his horizon to find one of the most loveliest and supportive friends he could have ever met—a yellow flower (his singing wonder). Throughout the book, the flower encourages the Bumbler to find love within himself and use that power to succeed, to find happiness. Once he does so, they set off into a world of adventure. Another message that this story revolves around is teaching young kids to think differently, not only see differently. Different, in this story, is a positively uplifting concept. All that happens within these pages are meant to make kids believe in one another and themselves.
