Bob and Vickie Johnson are about to put up their outdoor light display for the Christmas Season, when the house of their good friends two doors down is blown off its foundation. As they get everyone together they find out that it was a job done by a professional terrorist called the Hunter or Der Jäger. They end up chasing this Most Wanted Criminal on two continents across South Dakota and Wyoming. Bob's wife, Vickie along with Frank and Missy Ingram stay in Pierre the State Capital of South Dakota where the Hunter poisoned the Missouri River to direct the clean up and gather evidence. Bob, the outdoorsman and survival champion chases the warm trail of the Hunter until he figures a way to get in front of him to lay a fatal trap.
