This is the first book in the series of Bob Johnson and Frank Ingram detectives. Bob Johnson an English student is introduced as the writer of mysteries and student of protagonist Jacques Silva's wife, Monique Silva PhD. Lieutenant Silva and his partner Sergeant Mike Kenney are investigating the murder of several of the college's female students at the hand of a particularly vicious serial killer. There are several twists and turns and some real hair-raising incidents that lead to the identification and subsequent arrest of the suspect. This leads to the life long friendship of the surviving detective and Bob.
