Hector, a financial expert, lives in Brooklyn with Sarah, a political operative working to elect a new Senator from New York. When New York state passes a new law allowing its citizens to buy and sell votes in political elections, Hector immediately sees how to make money from that. Or so he thinks.
In democratic voting the individual is overwhelmed by the aggregate. One vote - good, bad, or indifferent – changes nothing. But Hector discovers money changes all that; the individual can matter, and healthy commercial greed can collide with the obligations and risks of voting in a democracy.
That is when one person can make all the difference in the world.
