The primary objective of this book is to throw light on the preventive strategies of some major non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, chronic respiratory disorders, Alzheimer's diseases and osteoporosis. These are all challenges for our country. Special efforts have been taken to enhance the richness of the material by including current statistical information on each of these diseases.
