This story is entertaining but is not designed to be logical since the teenager has at least four personalities and sees things from his perspective. The character is arrogant but has the gentle imaginative mind of a little boy. This child overwhelms the young man he grows into and takes over their body. A hidden violent personality who carries a homemade sword is generally subdued in the story. A speechless personality carries a shovel and only comes out at night to dig holes when he is sleep walking. But each one has their own name.
The chemistry of genetics, a dysfunctional environment, and "accidents" combine to damage the youngster before he can escape the crimes which victimize him. Whether wittingly or unwittingly, he comically taunts and challenges the menacing forces which pursue or haunt him. It isn't easy to tell where he makes the distinction between make-believe and reality. The normal teen called the Twin seldom exits their body but his persona is always in the child's subconscious. That teen and the mischievous but innocent child merge as one to express themselves throughout the narrative, creating an awkward combo of both arrested development and intelligent reasoning.
