Beth is a single woman who has reached a milestone birthday and decides to take a 16 day cruise with a girlfriend to celebrate. When her girlfriend has to cancel at the last minute due to illness, Beth decides to still go on the cruise—alone. Beth feels that at her age, she is finally ready for a 'no strings attached' holiday fling, but there don't seem to be any single men on the cruise, until she meets James. He turns out to be about as deep as a puddle, but then a chance encounter with Kevin makes her heart skip a beat and her lady parts suddenly wake with a huge "HELLO!!" By the end of the cruise, Beth wants 'strings and all' with Kevin but he lives 878kms away.

James is a cruise ship entertainer—comedy is his forte and he is good at it. He takes advantage of the current trend in which more and more single women are travelling solo to show them a good time between the sheets. James is shallow and Beth is way out of his league.
