Contentment comes from an attitude of gratitude in your daily life, expressing sincere gratitude for everything you have in your life makes you feel happier. Gratitude needs to be practiced regularly if you are to increase your level of happiness, mental and emotional well-being over the longer term. The benefits of practicing gratitude cannot be overemphasized.

People who practice gratitude on a daily basis take time to notice and reflect on things that they are grateful for, these sets of people feel more alive, sleep better, are more expressive with their kindness and compassion and even end up with a stronger immune system. Gratitude really isn't about the things we say but it gears more towards our attitude to life, people who are grateful for the little things of life are usually more relaxed in life.

Anyone going through anxiety disorder is likely to go into depression and depression can lead to many bad situations like abuse of drugs, isolation, frustration, mental illness, emotional breakdown, and even death. Like it has been discussed earlier, making a conscious effort to practice gratitude can go a long way in relieving anxiety. Practicing gratitude is an act that should be consciously developed no matter the situation you are in, you can decide to be grateful for those little things of life and express appreciation even when you do not feel like it.
