The failure of the Weimar Republic has always been a contentious issue due to the events that followed its demise. This book is based around the Treaty of Versailles, the Weimar Constitution, the economic problems up until 1923, the role of the political parties and individuals, and the Wall Street Crash coupled with the ensuing Great Depression. We will discuss the facts and argue; which causal factor was most detrimental to the failure of the Weimar Republic and Hitler's following rise to power. We will delve further into the Great Depression, along with other contributing factors, analyzing what effects the Great Depression had on the Weimar Republic, and ultimately, how it was a major contributing factor to cause the failure of the Weimar Republic.
