Can science survive without God? Now that is a question that might surprise many people, since the general view held is that religion and science represent two different ways of looking at the world. In this book, we undertake a journey of discovery where we become like pioneers trekking our way through a wilderness of ideas and concepts. Along the way there will be matters that are familiar to us, and many things that are unfamiliar. As we make our journey we shall seek to know, to understand, and to experience, the nature of the world in which we live and of our place within that world.
