After years of being bullied, Jessica goes mute because she feels like no matter how many times she speaks up against her bully, no one will ever be willing to listen to her. She eventually finds her voice when a stranger introduces her to music. Jessica's life is one filled with ups and downs and it gets no better when she losses her only surviving relatives.
