Bruno Carnevale was a Gambino soldier who was involved in multiple postal and mail robberies in the early 1970s. He was under indictment at the time his corpse was found following an anonymous phone call received by police. He was slain by gunshots after being beaten severely. Carnevale's body was discovered on Braddock Avenue in Queens Village. A year later a suspect indicted for the mobster's murder pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter. 1972 was a year of attrition among organized crime figures. The same year that Carnevale was gunned down two nephews of Gambino soldier Jojo Manfredi were murdered.
