This book is useful to the researchers and scientists who investigate bio-chemical functions and potential use of humic substances to improve productivity and growth of terrestrial and aquatic species (i.e. phytoplankton) on the earth. Little work has been reported on the effects of tropical peat humic acid on water-quality parameters. The knowledge available in this manuscript may provide more insight into the dynamic and biological role of humic substances in freshwater and marine ecosystems.
