If we ever wonder why a costal landscape of Terengganu is very distinct from usual landscape of other part of coastal areas in Peninsular Malaysia, this book will provide an answer to it. Stunted vegetations, almost in a form of pure stand of Melaleuca cajuputi, with picturesque water body underneath them. This book attempts to provide an insight to the biological aspects of Jambu Bongkok Forest Reserve and its nearby ecosystems in terms of flora, selected fauna, microbes and macrofungus. This biota are adapted to oligotrophic soil conditions and extreme physical environments of 'beach ridges interspersed with swales' (BRIS) ecosystem. Scientific knowledge coined in this book might be important for conversation of nature and natural resources from BRIS natural ecosystem of Terengganu.
