Having gone home to her mother to spend the Christmas holidays and separated from her new found girlfriend, Emma Campbell, Caz West is soon reunited with her lover at her mother's request. Once together and with Emma technically homeless, they make the most of the remainder of the holiday believing that all decisions about their future must be made in Cambridge where their lives together began. Soon enough, the new term starts and they must find a way out of their problems while also expanding their social life, yet always trying to ensure they get what they want most of all - each other.
