Given that scholarship is still emerging in the field of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) and development, and in particular on the topic of trust, there is a large opportunity to contribute and build off the existing literature. Two papers were selected for this e-book that highlight some of the key issues in the field. They touch upon institutional trust, contradictory perceptions of trust in technological systems and institutions, and how these various factors influence and shape ICT use.
